HILL TRIBE ENCOUNTER
A combination of some visits to a wide variety of ethnic
minority groups generally retaining
their lifestyle, traditional costume
with high mountains, deep ravines and
terraced fields of
Vietnam will excite your spirit of

DAY 1 : PICK UP ON ARRIVAL AT THE
AIRPORT OF HANOI
On arrival at Noi Bai Airport, you are met and
transferred to hotel. Ha Noi , Vietnam's
capital, is a stylish and gracious city
that retains an unique old world charm
and some Asia ‘s most striking colonial
architecture. The many lakes and parks
make for relaxing atmosphere. If time
permits we enjoy a short cyclo
excursion through the bustling old
quarter streets named after the specific
goods once offered for sale at these
places. O/N in Ha Noi.
DAY 2: HA NOI TO SON LA
Depart from
Hanoi to Son la through the Red River
Delta into the mountains of Phu Tho
province and to Son La the area is home
to Thai, Nung, H'mong, La Ha and Ma
ethnic minority peoples. On the way we
are stopover at some villages for take a
picture are exciting landscape of
terrace fields of rice and tea
plantation with people are colourful
traditional clothes of Tribe people then
exploring local market on the way
travelling to Son La. Arrival at Son la
at17h30 pm for check in overnight in.

DAY 3: SON LA – THAN UYEN
Morning after breakfast before you leaving in Son La we
stopover to visiting Ethnic
museum of Son La and the nearby old
prison builded by French during the War
in Vietnam are some of this hill town's
major sights. We have a chance to visit
these before we leave for our next
destination Exploring the local market
in Thuan Chau and Quynh Nhai is a good
chance to shop for local handicrafts.
Today's drive is along an exciting
stretch of road which climbs over the
mountain pass to Than Uyen past H'mong,
La Ha and Dzao hill tribe communities.
At the bottom of the valley is the town
of Than Uyen . Overnight in THAN UYEN . ( Breakfast
DAY 4 : THAN UYEN – SAPA & TREKKING TO
CAT CAT VILLAGE
After breakfast continue travel to Sapa. The road follows the
Hoang Lien Son Mountain Range and winds
through tea plantations and rice
terraces as it hugs the Nam Ma River.
This stunning valley is dotted with Tay , Dzao and H'mong hill tribe
villages. Over the 1900 meter Tram Ton
Pass to Sa Pa located in the
breathtaking Hoang Lien Son Mountains.
On arrival for check in the hotel then
after lunch, a 2.5 -hour trek to Cat Ca
village and waterfall, Black H'mong and
other ethnic minority people converge
from the surrounding countryside to sell
their embroidery, silverware and
handicrafts and to buy provisions O/N AT
SAPA ( Breakfast
DAY 5:
SAPA TREKKING TO
TAVAN VILLAGE & HOME STAY
At 9h30 am we leave the hotel and start trekking. The first
part is on the road but we soon turn to
the right and walk on a small path down
the valley to the
Muong Hoa River
and from here to the Black H’mong
village Lao Chai. Black H’mong is one of
the biggest minority groups in the Sapa
area. They are proud of their culture
and keep their traditions and way of
living. They have their own language and
wear traditional indigo blue clothing.
After this you continue to Ta Van
village (1.200 m) to visit Zay people.
Through a lush bamboo forest and past
local villages. Stop to enjoy a picnic
lunch. After lunch, then continue trek
to village for an insightful night with
your Tay hosts, where you'll sleep in
the cozy loft complete with comfy
mattress and a mosquito net.We stay
overnight with a local family in Ta Van
and have our dinner here.
O/N AT VILLAGE, HOMESTAY.

DAY 6 : VILLAGE TO SAPA
After breakfast then have
Short trek to the dirt road for the car ride back to Sa Pa.
Explore the town or go shopping in the
market for local produce.

DAY 7: LAOCAI - MUONG KHUONG - BAC
HA
( Sunday Market)
The weekend market of Muong Khuong also attracts a wide
variety of ethnic minority groups such
as Hmong, Dao, Thu Lao, Pa Di, Tu Di
and Phu La. After breakfast, we embark on a
two hour drive delivering to Muong
Khuong Town. There is a wonderful
experience to wander around this
colorful congregation. In the early
afternoon, we travel by roads to Bac
Ha. This is basically an overnight stop
to break our long journey. After
checking into hotel we can enjoy walk to
visit the Hmong King’s former residence
and Ban Pho where villagers make the
potent local maize alcohol. O/N in Bac
Ha. ( Breakfast)
DAY 8 :BAC HA - HOANG SU PHI - HA GIANG
Upon leaving Bac Ha we set off on a full
day journey through Sin Man and Hoang Su
Phi to Ha Giang Town. The rough but
scenic route traverses a dense jungle
before crossing over a pass and dropping
down to Sin Man. This day is a real challenge for our driver as we travel by
winding roads with many uphill and down
hill drives. Along the way we may
encounter the Nung Ing, Tay, Red Dao,
Dao Ao Dai, La Chi and Co Lao, just some
of the many hill tribe groups who have
settled there. O/N in Ha Giang.
